We had a group of people there for the elections. The food was great and the people in the bar was very kind.

Went for lunch on a Thursday. I think of myself as a bit of a Ruben connoisseur and theirs was absolutely the best one I have ever had! We will definitely visit again. Loved it

Renovation to the greens at River Bend CC in Shelbyville gave me the opportunity to play at Lakewood Golf & Country Club last weekend for the first time. Upon arrival, several members just outside the entrance greeted and welcomed me and the nice young lady in the pro shop got me got me registered for play. The remainder of our foursome having arrived, we began the 4 hour trek of what would be a most enjoyable round of golf. The bermuda fairways give adequate lies even though the cool spring hasn't allowed full growth potential. The bent grass greens are small and demand more precise approach shots but they hold well and the ball rolls true. After the round, we retired to the clubhouse where we enjoyed a cold beverage and talked with some of the members. Overall, a lovely day of golf in a friendly atmosphere and nice setting.
