The Honors Course
About the club
Considered radical in the early 1980s because of its acres of tall, native-grass rough, durable zoysiagrass fairways and terrifying greens perched atop bulkheads of rock, today The Honors Course is considered a well-preserved example of Pete Dye’s death-or-glory architecture. Other than reducing the contours in a couple of greens (particularly the 18th) in the late 1990s, and adjusting the bunkering in 2008, Dye left the course alone for most of his career. Georgia architect Bill Bergin created a new practice facility at the club in 2015, and Gil Hanse and Jim Wagner touched everything up again in 2022.

Beautiful golf course, one of the best I’ve ever seen.

If you’re an uppity douche then this is the place for you. While the zoysia looks terrible, you can always find your way into the golf course thru the neighboring Cambridge neighborhood if you don’t want to go thru either of the gates they leave open constantly. Staff is completely useless and full of attitude. Yea presidents may have played here but it’s still mediocre at best!

Obviously it is a exclusive private golf course designed by Pete Dye. What an incredible track well-maintained beautiful views lots of risk and reward. I would recommend networking and finding someone who's a member as this would be a wonderful opportunity if you love and enjoy golf to play a course that is fantastic had lunch and the food was as impeccable as the golf. Pro shop was well staff friendly and lots of inventory to choose from
