About the club
This profile contains information gathered from publicly available sources and historical records. Due to the private nature of the club, some details may not be fully verifiable or may have changed. Woodforest Golf Club opened in 2001 as part of the Woodforest master-planned community in Montgomery, Texas . The course was designed by former PGA Tour professional Steve Elkington in collaboration with Texas-based architect Randy Heckenkemper . The club was developed to serve both the residential community and public players in the greater Montgomery area . A few years ago the club went fully private and has 350 members. It doesn’t allow outside daily play. A couple years ago the owner spent $20+ million renovating the course. The greens are extremely fast and true and I’d argue are the best greens in the greater Houston area.
