Fantastic place full of wonderful people. You have instant friends the minute you walk into the clubhouse. There's always an event or poker game going on. The food isn't as good as lakewood, but the people and drink prices more than make up for it. The pink palace is sitting on over 125 years worth of history. If you want to be a part of a sailing club with an amazing racing pedigree and a tiny bit of a drinking problem- then this is the place to be.

I had the privilege of doing pickleball clinics for the “Grand Opening” of the their court by the Gulf of Mexico. Also amazing Bar and Grill in the Clubhouse ! Thank you Ernie Bauner, General Manager.

Feels like you’re on vacation. But you’re still close to town. Great year round youth sailing program and summer camps on the water. HYC is not affected by the HWY 146 / Kemah bridge construction, unlike almost all the other marinas / clubs. Still easy to drive to. Still easy to be on the bay minutes after leaving the dock.
