I’ve spent more than ten years frequenting this club and have seen it through its best years. It used to represent excellence, quality service, strong leadership, and food worth talking about. That changed when the current Director and Chef took over. If you're also a member like me, you know who they are. The Director’s management has drained the place of its former standards. The staff looks directionless, service feels careless, and member experience no longer seems to matter. The Chef has done equal damage, or even worse. The menu is uninspired, execution is inconsistent, and basic professionalism and manners are missing. What used to be a highlight of visiting here has become the reason many of us avoid dining on-site altogether. This club still has every advantage: great location, strong legacy, loyal clientele, but it’s being wasted under the current leadership. Until the Director and Chef are replaced with people who understand quality and respect their patrons, this place isn’t worth your time or money.

Our server, Jason, went above and beyond to make sure our evening was perfect. He was friendly, knowledgeable about the menu, and incredibly attentive without ever being overbearing. Every recommendation he gave was spot-on, and his timing was flawless throughout the meal.

Had a missed call from their number, likely relating to a job interview. I called back and Beth answered my call, very aggressive and condescending. She was not only unhelpful but deterred me from wanting to figure out who had called so I just thanked her and hung up.

Fred Schlesinger has single-handedly obliterated the youth tennis program at Oakmont Country Club. As the tennis pro, he runs the program entirely on his own terms, with little to no regard for the needs or desires of the children or the community. He has implemented unreasonable rules, such as cutting classes short to 30 minutes if fewer than three kids show up, yet charges the same fee for the full hour. Last time he did this, he did not communicate with me that he cut the lesson short, and left my 9 y/o daughter ALONE while he went inside to his office. This is absurd and reckless behavior. While this is bad enough on its own, the program is made worse by his constant cancellations. Us parents got so fed up with the endless cancellations that attendance dwindled—and no wonder! It’s nearly impossible to count on any consistent schedule under his management. Another particularly frustrating incident occurred when Fred canceled a standing weekly lesson with my kids, only for me to show up to teach my own kids and I found him on court giving a lesson to a woman I’d never seen before! If you do manage to get a lesson with him, expect it to be cut short to half an hour, and don’t be surprised when he raises the rates yet again. What started as $15 per hour in 2023 is now $25 per hour, with the added caveat that you must have at least four people to even form a class. When I raised my concerns with the club’s manager, Nic, I was told that Fred can do whatever he wants since he’s running his own business. It’s incredibly disappointing to see a country club that claims to care about its members being so dismissive of member concerns. Fred’s lack of professionalism and care has taken what could have been a thriving youth tennis program and turned it into a complete disaster. Sadly, I cannot recommend this tennis program to anyone.

Beautiful venue. We had a 10 year high school reunion here. The catered food from the kitchen was delicious. The staff was extremely accommodating and friendly. And you can’t beat watching that gorgeous sunset view on the golf course!
