The course layout and condition is average at best. The driving range is absolutely atrocious. The mats they REQUIRE you to hit off of are so old and worn down that it feels like hitting off concrete. Ive had much better experiences at public courses that are less than half the price. Seriously this course/membership is not worth your money. (Also might i add that i bent my 8 iron after using their range) yes its really that bad

I’ve played at Rockwall Golf for the last four years as part of an annual tournament, and each time, the experience has been frustrating due to their inexplicable and rigid cart path only policy. This is an average private golf course with mediocre conditions at best—fairways and greens are nothing special, and maintenance is passable but far from impressive. Yet, despite perfectly dry conditions with no rain for weeks, the course insists on enforcing a cart path only rule every single time. This policy is an absolute dealbreaker, especially for older players. I played alongside a nearly 80-year-old golfer, and the constant trekking from cart paths to the fairways was exhausting and unfair. It turned what should have been an enjoyable day into a physically grueling ordeal. Forcing players to walk long distances across the course, regardless of weather or ground conditions, shows a complete lack of consideration for the golfer’s experience—particularly for seniors or those with mobility challenges. What’s worse, the staff offers no justification for this policy, and it feels like a lazy, one-size-fits-all rule that prioritizes the course’s convenience over its players. For a private club charging premium fees, you’d expect better flexibility and a commitment to player satisfaction. Instead, Rockwall Golf delivers a subpar experience that feels like a punishment for choosing their course.I strongly advise golfers to look elsewhere. There are plenty of other private courses in the area that maintain better conditions, offer a more welcoming atmosphere, and don’t impose arbitrary restrictions that ruin the game. Save your money and your energy—Rockwall Golf isn’t worth the hassle.

YMCA Annual event at Rockwall Golf and Athletic Club. Honoring such awesome visionaries and dedicated individuals on this amazing evening!

We dined here for my SIL birthday. Overall I would say it was it was a decent experience overall. My husband and I kind of left feeling like it was an overpriced chili's or Applebee's as far as the food went. The service was also not bad but not overly good. We ordered the shirt rib with grits... Over dry and grits were tasteless. Short rib w potatoes... Dry short ribs but potatoes had more flavor Ribye was smothered in sauce and over cooked
