Braintree Golf Club

About the club

Our Par 70 parkland course features tight tree lined fairways, water hazards and fast true greens, and is widely considered to be one of the finest in the county by amateurs and professionals alike, and currently enjoys 9th place in the top 100 golf courses in Essex. Originally established in 1891 we are proud to be one of the oldest clubs in Essex, but also one of the most modern. The course is playable throughout the year, with full tees and greens in operation at all times. Indeed for the winter 2013/14 we closed the course on just three days, and last winter 2014/15 we lost just a single day! As a private members club we are proud of our heritage, whilst looking equally to the future to provide an excellent golf course and facilities to our members. But at the same time we recognise the value of visiting players and societies alike, and whilst much of the time members have full access to the course, visitors and societies are made very welcome on weekdays throughout the year.
