Bridgend Golf Club

About the club

Bridgedown Golf Club, nestled in the beautiful county of Hertfordshire, is a golfing haven for both seasoned players and beginners alike. This prestigious club boasts not one, but two remarkable courses that offer a unique golfing experience. The first course, known as the Valley Course, features a challenging par-72 layout that spans a respectable length of 6,500 yards. With 18 holes that wind through undulating terrain, players can expect an exhilarating game that tests their skill and strategy. The course offers a great variety of holes, with some tight fairways, strategically placed bunkers, and water hazards that demand accuracy and precision from golfers. The Valley Course also presents a few signature holes, such as the par-4 12th hole, which requires a well-placed tee shot to avoid the out-of-bounds area on the right. For those seeking an even greater challenge, the second course, aptly named the Ridge Course, provides a par-73 layout that adds an extra dimension to the golfing experience. Stretching over 7,000 yards, this course is longer than its counterpart and demands powerful drives and strategic iron play. The Ridge Course is notorious for its fast greens that present a test of touch and finesse. Golfers must also navigate through narrow fairways, deep bunkers, and the occasional water hazard. One of the most memorable holes on this course is the par-5 5th hole, where players face a difficult decision off the tee - take the safer route on the left and risk a longer approach, or go for the riskier but more rewarding shot over the water to the right. Beyond the captivating courses, Bridgedown Golf Club offers a picturesque setting amidst the rolling hills of Hertfordshire. The lush green fairways and beautifully manicured greens are set against a backdrop of stunning countryside, creating a truly serene atmosphere. The quality of the facilities is exceptional, with a modern clubhouse boasting all the amenities one would expect from a premier golf club
