I recently had the pleasure of playing a round at Briggens Park Golf Club in Hertfordshire, and I must say, it was a truly unique and enjoyable experience. Nestled amidst the picturesque landscapes of Hertfordshire, this club offers a serene and captivating setting for golfers of all levels. Briggens Park Golf Club boasts not one, but two exceptional courses, providing golfers with a great variety of challenges and experiences. The main course, known as the Championship Course, spans an impressive length of 6,937 yards, offering 18 holes of pure golfing bliss. The secondary course, the Par 3 Course, offers a more relaxed and shorter round, perfect for beginners or those looking to sharpen their short game skills. The layout of the Championship Course is well designed, with each hole thoughtfully placed to maximize the natural beauty of the surroundings. The undulating fairways and well-manicured greens make for a delightful playing surface, while the strategically placed bunkers and water hazards add an element of challenge that keeps golfers on their toes. The course is not overly difficult, but it certainly demands accuracy and precision to navigate successfully. This par 5 hole stretches over 600 yards and requires a strategic approach to avoid the shimmering lake that runs along the fairway.
