About the club

Burgham Park Golf and Leisure Club - A Resilient Gem Nestled in the picturesque Northumberland countryside, Burgham Park Golf and Leisure Club is a championship parkland course that has recently faced its fair share of challenges. However, it has emerged stronger than ever, thanks to the dedication and resilience of its owners and the local golfing community. In 2016, the club fell into administration, causing concerns among golf enthusiasts who had come to appreciate the excellent course and friendly atmosphere. Thankfully, Burgham Park Leisure Ltd stepped in to take over the club's operations and prevent its closure. The decision was a significant relief for the club and its loyal members. Under the leadership of Burgham Park Leisure Ltd and the guidance of professional golfer Kevin Gow, the club has undergone a remarkable transformation. Financial struggles have been replaced by renewed investment plans, ensuring the long-term sustainability of this beloved golfing destination. Burgham Park Golf and Leisure Club offers a challenging yet enjoyable experience for golfers of all skill levels. The course design caters to both high handicappers and low handicappers, with well-maintained greens, lovely fairways, and manageable roughs. The club's commitment to maintaining high-quality playing conditions is evident throughout the course. One of the standout features of Burgham Park is the panoramic views it offers. As you navigate the fairways, you'll be treated to breathtaking vistas of the Simonside Hills and the surrounding Northumbrian landscape. This harmonious blend of natural beauty and exceptional course design creates an immersive golfing experience that is hard to replicate. In recent years, the club has also gained recognition as a hidden gem in the UK golfing scene.
