Falkirk Tryst Golf Club
About the club
Falkirk Tryst Golf course, is laid on sandy soil with excellent drainage and one of the best all-year-round Golf courses In Central Scotland, as a result, the course is open year-round and enjoys a reputation of being playable even in the most extreme weather conditions. The course takes advantage of the area's natural terrain while making use of heather, mounding, and strategically placed bunkers, challenging players of all ages and skill levels. The village of Stenhousemuir has a unique place in the sporting circles of Scotland. No other village, and few towns for that matter, can boast three clubs - cricket, football and golf - each amongst the upper levels of their respective sport, and each celebrating their 125th anniversary within the last decade or so. Stenhousemuir Cricket Club was founded in 1876, Stenhousemuir Football Club - the Warriors - in 1884, and the Falkirk Tryst Golf Club in 1885. The golf course actually encircles the cricket pitch, while the football park, Ochilview, is only a stone's throw from the southernmost corner of the course.
