About the club

Over the last 3 years the golfing gods have been very kind to us providing us with long periods of sustained dry weather and reasonably milder winters, these conditions have therefore made our Greens Staffs task of improving on drainage, presenting a course with clearly defined areas of fairway and rough with mowed paths from tee to fairways and in general they have been able to carry out a considerable amount of tidy up work in and around the course to make it as presentable as possible with roads and access points added to move larger machinery around the course with the minimum of fuss or disruption. I am sure you will all agree that our Green-staff team have installed a program of activities that have improved the course year on year and some of the feedback coming from members and visitors has been very very positive. The dry underfoot conditions even during periods of wet weather and the excellent condition of the greens which have certainly benefited from the strict program installed, everything from sanding to verti-cutting is done with a purpose and with playing conditions like we have experienced over the last couple of years due to early preparation work we are now seeing the rewards with an extended playing season and winter golf on a more presentable layout. As ever the work never stops, you will find attached below an overview of the program of works identified to ensure we continue with the improvements mentioned.
