Greenock Golf Club
About the club
"Finest views on the Clyde" a claim made by many golf clubs along the length of the river, but few would argue with the claim of the Greenock members. Founded in 1890 the club has 27 holes of golf, the18 hole course and the 9 hole course. The club has hosted several professional and district events many famous players having, over the years, played at Greenock. Seven Open Champions Harry Vardon, Bobby Locke, and Roberto Di Vicenzo are a few of the well known players who have appeared at Greenock. The course record is held by local member and Scottish International shot 62 (Mark Risbridger).
