Hylands Golf Complex

About the club

Hylands Golf Complex was part of the old Hylands Estate in bygone days. Two notable owners who lived at the mansion on the Hylands Estate were the Pryors and the Hanburys. It is appropriate that we have named our two courses after them, as they both had an active in helping to shape and preserve the land and local heritage we know today. The golf complex adjoins this great park which was namely a deer park, hence the stag being included in the Hylands Crest. Chelmsford Council took over the estate from Mrs Hanbury upon her death and is now enjoyed by the community as a whole.
