About the club
Described as "A Jewel in Perth's Crown", our excellent 18 hole parkland course is located right in the centre of the City of Perth. This beautiful course, laid out on Moncrieffe Island with the River Tay running on either side, sets a fair but challenging test to golfers of all abilities. The Golf Club was founded in 1858, making it one of the oldest surviving Golf Clubs in the UK. Designed by Old Tom Morris, it is believed to be the only Inland Island Golf Course in the country. The unique island course, which has undergone significant changes in recent times, is in tip top condition with greens that invite comparison with the best that Scottish golf can offer. With a warm welcome assured, the facilities at the club make it a very popular venue for casual visitors and visiting golf societies alike. After your round you can enjoy a refreshing drink and appetising meal in our comfortable elevated lounge bar which boasts magnificent views down the starting and finishing holes.
