Mardyke Valley Golf Club

About the club

Standing in 140 glorious acres adjacent to historic Ford Place and on the South facing side of the Mardyke Valley, our South Ockendon Essex Golf Club is an exciting 18 hole parkland, where long undulating fairways and water hazards give rise to some of the most challenging holes in Essex. This seriously testing golf course was designed with a little professional help, 'by the members', 'for the members'. Initially incepted as a 3 hole Academy Ground, it grew into a 9 hole course, where it was clear that the free draining land, with such potential, was inevitably destined to become something more, which it did, by becoming the outstanding 6283 yard, 18 hole course that it is today. The greens, fairways, paths and trees are all excellently maintained by our Course Director and his team. Being blessed with exceptional drainage and a state of the art irrigation system, this ensures that the entire course remains open all year round. Located in South Ockendon, Essex we are just a few miles from London and only 5 minutes drive from the M25, A13 and the Dartford River Crossing making us accessible from wherever you are. Our Clubhouse overlooking the practice putting green, offers a bright, comfortable, relaxing environment in which to enjoy a drink and our delicious home cooked food. The golf shop is open every day and Matt our Pro, is on hand to give any advice or guidance to enthusiasts of all ages and abilities. Visitors of all levels are welcome, so please give us a call to book your next game of golf on 01708 855011. See our calendar of events. Mardyke Valley Golf Club is part of the John F Hunt Group.
