About the club

Mottram Hall golf course is set in 270 acres of Cheshire's finest parkland, located one mile from the picturesque village of Prestbury, and has been the host venue for the 2013 European Senior's PGA Championship & the PGA EuroPro Tour. This 7006 yard, 18 hole, Par 72 championship course was designed by renowned course architect, Dave Thomas, who previously designed the Brabazon course at The Belfry. With its manicured fairways, strategically placed bunkers and guarded greens, Mottram Hall is broken up into two contrasting circuits of nine and offers an exciting challenge to golfers of all abilities. The signature holes are both long Par 4's with plenty of problems to try and avoid. The 13th, stroke index 1, is a giant of a hole that requires long accurate hitting up an ever-rising fairway and even the slightest error can lead to a double-bogey. The 17th is arguably one of the best and most picturesque doglegs in the North West where only a long accurate drive from an elevated tee allows an approach to a tricky two-tier green. With water on the right, thick rough on the left and a stream cutting through the fairway, care must be taken with every shot. Mottram Hall golf resort incorporates a covered driving range, short game practice area, putting green and a fleet of 26 buggies complete with state of the art ‘Satellite Navigation/GPS’ technology. Plus, the Claret Jug provides the perfect location to relax either before, or following, your round.
