Newtonmore Golf Club
About the club
The village of Newtonmore is located in the upper Spey Valley within the Cairngorm National Park. We're just a few miles south of Aviemore, about an hour’s drive from Inverness Airport, and not much more than two hours drive from Edinburgh or Glasgow. From London, try the Caledonian Rail Sleeper direct to Newtonmore. Poised between the village and the River Spey, Newtonmore golf course provides visitors and members with opportunities to enjoy some of the best golf and mountain scenery that the Highlands of Scotland can offer. Our Spey Valley golf course is mostly easy-walking parkland laid out on the natural contours of the flood plain of the River Spey. The course is home to a rich variety of flora and fauna, and continues to provide winter grazing for local sheep. Established in 1895, this 18 hole course has inspired generations of golfers. At 6031 yards (par 70) the course is playable with comfort and pleasure by average and good golfers alike. Peaceful and uncrowded, our Speyside golf club provides a Highlands golf course which is great for beginners, young or old, to learn how to play golf too.
