Peterhead Golf Club
About the club
A warm welcome to Peterhead Golf Club, set in the idyllic surroundings of Craigewan Links, where you can play 18 holes on the 18th oldest course in the world. Peterhead Golf Club was established in 1841 and its history is amongst the elite of Scotland. The current ‘Old Course’ designed and laid out by Willie Park Junior, began as a 9 hole course in 1892 - it was extended to 18 holes in 1908 and a second 18 hole course, the ‘New Course’ was established in 1923. During the 1940s, reduced resources resulted in the ‘New Course’ being neglected, however it does exist today as the 9 hole ‘New Course’. The Old Course, laid out among the dunes and across the links on the Aberdeenshire coast, provides a challenge to golfers of all standards and the prevailing weather conditions add to the degree of difficulty. It is a classic example of Scottish seaside golf at its best. Visitors to Craigewan Links can expect a warm welcome from clubhouse staff and members and after a rewarding round, golfers can relax in our Clubhouse and take in the panoramic views of the links and out over the North Sea.
