Retford Golf Club

About the club

The course measures 6,507 yards, par 72, SS 72 for men and 5,643 yards, par 72, SS 73 for ladies.Recently Retford was proud to be the Nottinghamshire County Course. The front nine holes start with two fine par fives, then you move into trees for two par threes and continue with varied par fours including the dog leg 7th until reaching the splendid uphill par three 9th.When the rhododendrons are out in late May/early June the 7th hole looks magnificent. The back nine increase the challenge with some interesting changes of level. Avoid the lilies in the 13th pond. Enjoy the uphill 15th. A good 16th drive will put you at the the bottom of the hill to play up to the green, then keep out of the valley on the 17th and have a delightful finish with the lovely, slightly down hill par 5 to the club house.
