Strathpeffer Spa Golf Club
About the club
Strathpeffer Spa Golf Club, founded in 1888 has been described by Peter Allis as “A Jewel in the Highlands of Scotland”. One of the original course designers was "the grand old man of golf" Tom Morris of St Andrews. The 18 hole course sets a tougher challenge than the 5001 yards, Par 67 suggests – few bunkers are required with the fast sloping greens – most hazards are natural with 4 ponds coming into play. Golfers cannot overpower this course with long hitting – the winner at Strathpeffer will always be the accurate player! The opening hole is considered one of the most sporting in golf as it features the largest drop from tee to green on any golf course in Scotland. It is arguably the most scenic golf course in the North of Scotland – visitors from around the world regularly confirm this and the breathtaking views highlight the natural beauty of the Scottish countryside. After your round you can enjoy traditional highland hospitality in the informal and friendly atmosphere of our clubhouse.
