About the club
Founded in 1873 and the oldest in the county, our Club is the cradle of golf in Lancashire. Our rich history and connections with both the Amateur Championship and the Open Championship are fully shown on the walls of our modern clubhouse, which from our balcony, and close to Antony Gormley's 'Another Place', offers stunning views of the River Mersey and the Welsh mountains and hills beyond. We are located on England's Golf Coast among some of the finest courses in the country.
