Whiting Bay Golf Club
About the club
Whiting Bay – founded in 1895, is a hidden gem of a course, set high above the village of Whiting Bay on the south east coast of Arran. This is an 18 hole, par 63, parkland course playing 4092 yards from the yellow tees and although quite short, the course sets a fair test for golfers of all abilities and features some particularly challenging par 3s. Set on a gentle hillside, you will enjoy spectacular panoramic views from almost every hole across the Firth of Clyde to the Ayrshire coast and to Holy Isle. Each hole is full of interest – the course weaves its way up and down and across the hillside and is characterised by heather and gorse and small greens which are cleverly guarded by various hazards. A final descent to the eighteenth and the friendly clubhouse where you can enjoy a rewarding drink on the patio and take in the stunning views whilst watching other players putt out at the end of their round.
