I've been a member of the Mathews Yacht Club for over a year and I love it. The other members and the staff are so friendly that you feel at home instantly. Recently we had a dessert and champagne pairing and the club's pastry chef created amazing desserts - all handmade - that were perfectly matched with the champagnes that we enjoyed. Whether you have lived in the area a long time or you recently moved to the Mathews, Gloucester or Middlesex countries in Virginia, you will enjoy the club's restaurant, fun activities and lovely marina. Whether you have a boat or not, you are welcome to join. Come for a tour! You will be glad you did!

My husband and I just got married here and we cannot emphasize enough how fantastic of a job they did. They made it the wedding reception of our dreams! We were so thrilled entering our reception and seeing the space transformed exactly how we asked. Even then, our expectations were far surpassed by the work they did. Staff was consistent and present the whole evening and introduced themselves and checked in on us both, we really appreciated that. The relief we felt knowing everything was taken care of by the attentive and genuinely caring yacht club staff, particularly their amazing manager, Stuart, was so wonderful. Not to mention the food was absolutely delicious, we received compliments all night long. We cannot emphasize enough how much we enjoyed this venue and how fantastic of a job they did. If you’re looking for a hidden gem venue your guests are guaranteed to love, look no further!
