The Foundry is such a special place. The historic clubhouse and grounds, the meandering creek washing over the rocks, and the roll of the landscape only add to the beauty of this Golf Club. Remotely located away from the hustle and bustle of town, it feels relaxed like a resort getaway. And the golf course! Always in great shape and what a great layout. A solid mix of shot making is required by the placement of tee boxes, fairways and greens. And when you reach the green, the fun has just begun. With subtle undulations and slopes, and quick speeds, the greens are the real challenge. Fortunately, professional caddies are available and are a great help with reading the greens. The staff at the Foundry greet you with a smile and treat you like a welcome guest or family member. The variety of food and drink available in the clubhouse or Timmons Tavern can satisfy any taste. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. If you get the chance to play this course, you should jump at the opportunity.

I recently photographed my first wedding at the Venue and fell IN LOVE! The grounds are stunning and the team on the property that assisted for the day were so wonderful to be around. Everyone was courteous and pleasant, always willing to help with whatever was needed even if it wasn't their "job". They took pride in making sure that not just the wedding clients were taken care of but the vendors also. I loved being apart of this team and I can't wait to be back at the property for another wedding. Thank you for all that you do!

I played my first round of golf at The Foundry this past Monday, and I was extremely impressed. It was the first time in a long time I could describe my round as almost a spiritual experience. The course conditions are phenomenal, and we were even playing on Monday which is their course maintenance day. So there were some grounds keepers working on the course during our round, but we barely even noticed them because of how professional and courteous they were to our play. The course is situated in a picturesque setting, looping back and forth over Fine Creek in Powhatan. The historic structures on the property that double as the Club House and Restaurant create a very unique atmosphere. The entire staff is courteous and welcoming. I must say though, my favorite part of the day was just how calm and relaxing the experience was. Because it is a private course, there were not parties bunched up in front and behind one another, so we never saw another party while we were on the course. It took all of the pressure out of the round, but we still played with a good pace. It just didn't feel like we HAD to. I've played a couple of Private courses in the Richmond Metro area, but so far, this has been my favorite. If you're looking for a true Golf Club that offers great course conditions, pretty challenging play, fantastic amenities, and a relaxing experience, then this is spot.

Went here to take pictures of my daughter & her date before prom. There was a bridal shower on the outside patio area so we were a little nervous that we wouldn't be able to, but the staff were very nice & even suggested some spots for good pictures. Beautiful place!
