Garrett and his family have been involved with the WYRC since he was a kid. When it came time to find a venue for our wedding the options were inundating. Once we were exposed to pages of rules at various venues, not to mention the price tag, choosing the club was easy. The location is beautiful. It is on the water! Parking is abundant. Having the option to do our wedding outdoors was what we wanted, but the rain on our wedding day made us appreciative of the clubhouse for everyone to seek shelter. Garrett and I, and our guest were all amazed at the hidden gem the Ware River Yacht Club truly is! Thank you for making our wedding day easy and as care free as it could be with your flexibility and accommodation. Lastly, thank you for providing a gorgeous and affordable landscape for all of us to interact with in celebration of unity!

This is everything we wanted in a sailing club, good boats and boat storage and a very nice clubhouse with a beautiful view. The access to open water is outstanding, the fees fair and the members are warm and gracious folks who treat you like family.

WRYC was a shuttle location for Virginia's 90th Historic Garden Week in Gloucester Mathews. We were so thankful for the restrooms and lunches provided by Nuttall's Country Store. After standing in long lines (in the hot sun) for the shuttles, we needed a spot to cool down and re-energize.

Went there for our grandsons wedding. Beautiful venue.
