About the club

Located amid rolling dunes overlooking the South China Sea in the resort community of Mui Ne, Sea Links is a long way from any Vietnam's main cities, but worth the trip. Designer Ronald Fream is quoted as saying that his goal here was "to produce Asia's most demanding Scottish links-inspired championship course," and he delivers. The breeze off the ocean is certainly reminiscent of St. Andrews, albeit nowhere near as brisk, and the greens are of a size that can require a putt to cover a couple hundred feet of wavy Bermuda grass. Among the challenges here are the length—an intimidating 7014 meters—and the imposing bunkers, some hundreds of feet long. There is a pair of par 5s well over six hundred yards, and the par 3s all measure over two hundred. Less accomplished players may have a hard time on a windy day, but all will enjoy the scenic vistas.
