This park has a great view of the lake. The size of trails is not a long. Also bike friendly. The beach area was less crowded than my expectation. A good place to visit from Madison.

Lots of hiking trails. Gorgeous view of the lake. A park for kids. Nice camping areas also. Overall a great place. One of my favorite places to be.bAlways well maintained. Beautiful and fun stop all times of the year.

I got to Lake Kegonsa State Park a little later than planned, so I didn’t get to see much in the daylight. I came hoping to stargaze, but the skies were overcast that night. Still, the visit wasn’t a loss—walking through the meadow, I got to witness winter fireflies sparkling in the dark, which was pretty magical. The park has a good number of campsites, showers, and even a playground. I’d definitely come back—hopefully next time under a clear sky.
