About the club

Thornbrook Golf Course was designed and opened in the 1980s by Bill Casper. After 11 successful years, the Caspers handed the reigns over to Ron Stageman. The Stagemans ran the course for nearly 15 years before selling it in April 2014.Current owners, Amy and Steve Riley and their two daughters, renovated the course from May 2014 to June 2015. Greens were aerated, sanded and fertilized, fairways widened, brush cleared, gardens planted, and ponds revitalized. A 9-hole footgolf course was added to the golf course and a brand new clubhouse was built (new location!) complete with an outdoor patio, plenty of cold drinks, free popcorn, and a spacious interior for events!Amy and Steve graduated from Goodrich High School in the 80s. After having two children in the early 90s, they moved to Markesan, WI. Twenty years later they found themselves wanting to return to Fondy and their roots.After touring the property and falling in love with the beautiful ponds and woodlands, Thornbrook was the perfect fit. Along with their dog and two cats, they made the move in June 2014. Thornbrook Golf & FootGolf Couse is NOW OPEN.
