This is such a beautiful area, but this place is a major rip-off , unless you’re a multi-millionaire. I say this after having been there a year ago, because we have now found a much more reasonable place that is just as good or maybe even better, called “Drowsy River Ranch.” It is a MUCH better deal for the average man ! Also, A Bar A Ranch is very nice and the people there are very nice, but the advertising is deceptive. In the small print , when I had returned home, they sprung on me an $800 “suggested” tip ; I had wondered why we were not tipping before we left, and this is why ! I suppose I could have tipped before I left , but I did not, as I had incorrectly assumed that the tip was included, as in some more “honest” vacation spots which were not dude ranches that I had been to.

I have been with my in-laws to this place several times and my wife works there. Honestly it is always one of the best weeks of my life and I look forward to it every year. Great staff, safe with horses, great food, and one of the few classic places left where you can have a great week with all the family at one time as there is something each and every one can do that they enjoy during the day and then we meet again at night for some great food! Thanks for making the ABA one of the most classic and best family dude ranches in America. Macon Rudisill - Charleston, South Carolina.

Amazing family vacation! Staff is above top notch in every way. Polite, friendly, helpful, courteous, simply wonderful. We were able to take advantage of so many fun filled activities. Fly fishing 🎣, horseback riding, par 3 golf, hiking 🥾, delicious dinners & beautiful scenery, super cozy accommodations. I would give this place more than 5 stars if I could. We met terrific people around every corner. I highly recommend.
