Greenwich Yacht Club

A beautifully designed building built by Frankl & Luty, it’s often open for London Open House and well worth a guided tour. It fits seamlessly into the landscape and even has a small beach near the jetty when the tides out.

We had our wedding in the River Rooms at the GYC in August 2024. The venue is beautiful and it made our day so special. We had so many compliments about it from our guests! The space worked well allowing us to move between the different areas for our ceremony and reception. The communication with the events team was consistent throughout our planning process and the on the day coordinators helped our day to flow seamlessly. We would definitely recommend GYC for anyone looking to have a unique london wedding 🙂

We had gone there for a birthday party, and what a beautiful place- right on Thames, and literally behind Ikea Charlton. Parking was arranged for by the party hosts- so we parked in the lot right next to the Club. The party venue in itself was spacious, and the glass doors/windows added to the charming effect.

We just wanted to get in touch to say a huge thank you to the GYC team for making our wedding day a success. Every person that we spoke with at GYC has been so helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly throughout the entire process. As soon as we stepped out of our ceremony, GYC was ready and waiting with a well earned glass of Aperol Spritz! Our wedding guests all commented on how brilliant the venue staff were too, so it really does show how important it is! We were also so impressed by Relish, one of their recommended caterers, and really glad we chose them to cater for our wedding.
