Had a wonderful wedding at this beautiful place!!!!!! Food is amazing! Service is amazing! People are amazing! Everything is amazing!!!!!!!

When we started planning our wedding in Fall 2024 we were feeling so stuck in looking for a venue. We wanted to have a large guest count with great food, lots of dancing, nice, semi-formal atmosphere, fun cocktail hour, with all the bells and whistles...but we were struggling to find a venue that checked all the boxes and felt like "us." Shackamaxon came up in our search at the perfect time. When we looked at the photos, pricing, and menu options it almost seemed too good to be true! We toured the venue with Kathy and before we knew it, we were calling our parents to say "we think we found the one." They had our date open so we quickly booked our wedding on what we had known as our "dating anniversary." Over the next 14 months, Sean and Kathy were extremely responsive and service oriented; they were able to meet any request we had and answered so many of our questions. The complimentary food tasting for 6 was so much fun and was an exciting way to include our parents in the planning process: we knew all the positives we saw in Shack and now they got to experience it too! In the weeks and days leading up to the wedding, my husband had even said he was "waiting on the other shoe to drop" because there was virtually no error or confusion in the event planning process with Sean. The bridal suite was perfect for my large bridal party, there was even a space for the groomsmen to get ready, the cocktail hour space was perfect especially the outdoor deck with heated lamps and fire pits. The food was top notch and we liked that they included a buffet option so there was no shortage of mingling throughout the evening. On the day before the wedding they were even able to expand the dance floor which worked out perfectly because it was packed all night! They EXCEEDED our expectations and brought our vision to life for the best wedding ever. Sean and Kathy, we cannot thank you enough for everything you did to help us celebrate and kick off a lifetime of happiness!!!

I highly recommend Shackamaxon Country Club for any special event. I recently hosted my daughter’s Bat Mitzvah there, and I cannot express how exceptional Kathy, Sean, and the entire team were throughout both the planning process and the event itself. From day one, every request was met with a warm, enthusiastic “yes,” and their dedication to making our vision come to life was evident at every step. I especially loved that Kathy and Sean were on-site for the entire event—proactive, professional, and seamlessly handling anything that arose behind the scenes. Their presence allowed me to fully enjoy the celebration without a single worry. The ballroom is spacious, elegant, and incredibly versatile; they can accommodate a wide range of layouts, making each celebration feel truly customized. My guests are still raving about the food, which was both plentiful and delicious. We had an outstanding experience at Shackamaxon and would not hesitate to host another event there. Truly a 10/10!

Very pretty atmosphere. However, for the price of the food, it was OK. I have had better steaks had better value. However, very nice staff at the restaurant and beautiful ambience.

To all brides to be If you are looking for a place to have your wedding do not pass on Shackamaxon. I just got married here on Sunday 10/13 and it was the day of my dreams. From the first moment we arrived on the property before we even booked them to the last minute of our reception they provided everything I wanted and more! The grounds are gorgeous, the staff were amazing, the food was out of this world! They customized every single item we had from appetizers to drinks. Kathleen, Sean and the entire staff went above and beyond for us. Alex their chef made items my guest raved about and even went so far as to create a custom theme menu for us. We had our dream wedding thanks to everyone there!
